Dr. Hastik has been in private practice specializing in Psychiatry since her 1998 graduation from Langley Porter Psychiatric Institute. She has worked as an Attending Psychiatrist at Hastings College of Law and is currently on staff at Cordilleras Mental Health Rehabilitation Center. Her internship and psychiatry residency were both completed at the University of California-San Francisco (UCSF) where she later served as an adjunct faculty member. In !994 she received her Medical Degree from the University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio, Texas. Undergraduate degrees include a Magna Cum Laude double degree in Biology and Psychology with highest Honors in her Psychology Major.
Prior to the study of Biology, Psychology and Medicine, Dr. Hastik spent two years as a Bachelor of Fine Arts candidate at Carnegie-Mellon University where she was a triple major in Music, Dance and Theater. She remains an avid supporter of the fine arts as an integral part of student education and is a frequent patron of live performing arts.
Dr. Hastik was born and raised in Houston, Texas near the NASA spacecraft program. She has resided in the San Francisco Bay Area since arriving for her internship in 1994.
